Jimmie, we always enjoyed our visits with you and Ferg in Franklin, on the river in Hayesville, and then back in Brevard.

He was a special brother-in-law, always so kind and polite to us. He endured so much suffering and we are sad about his passing, but also happy that he has made his journey and is with the Lord now. We pray that God will bless you and give you peace. Romans 8:28 Love and prayers to you and your family, and to Gina and her family.

While on the Patrol, HT was a true living legend.

It was my pleasure to have met and known him when I first reported to Macon county in 1969 and the years after. A former Sheriff of Macon county once told me, "the Highway Patrol does not need to station anyone in Macon county, all they have to do is run a pair of HT's patrol pants up the flag pole and that would be enough".

Dear Jimmie,We are sorry about the passing of Ferg.

We are sorry we could not make it to his funeral. We wil be praying for you during this sorrowful time. The Word says there is a time for grief. But you won't be alone in it. God grieves too when his children do. I really believe that.

God,in His wisdom has taken him home, out of all the pain and suffering. I pray that you will experience God's comfort, peace, and love, now and in days to come. Please know that we will be thinking about you and remembering you in prayer.
God has promised never to leave us and that His Grace is sufficient for us.

I love you,
joanne

Our loss and the Lord’s gain when he took Ferg.

Ferg’s long time of pain has now been taken away. I could not have asked for a better brother-in-law who was so kind, sweet and a number one gentleman. I will remember many conversations with him about his life with the highway patrol and the love he had for all his family. Ferg was loved and will be missed by so many of us. My prayers are for the family during this time and the days ahead to cherish the memories and stories Ferg left with us.
