To: Mr. John Robert Fulton and Family:

My cousin Denton Higdon shared with me the obituary of my kin Grace M. Fulton * -- the wife of John Robert Fulton and daughter of the late William Rowland Higdon and Georgia Lee Corbin.

My late mother was a Higdon and grew up in Macon County. During my childhood, when school was out, our family went to Macon County to visit our Higdon relatives, and I have been blessed to know so many of them over the years.

Because of my love for family, I helped organize the Higdon Family Association, which meets once a year. Also I have tried to attend as many of the Higdon Family Reunions in Macon County, which has been ongoing for over 100 years. I'm sure you know that it began as a birthday party for Major William Hoffman Higdon (my great-grandfather). Since you Fultons are related to the Higdons, this means that I have kinship.to you, Mr.John Robert Fulton as well as to your wife Grace.. Mr. Fulton, you two were blessed to have 63 years of marriage. (My husband and I had 51 years together. . He passed away January 2, 2005. ) Only those of us who have lost a spouse can understand what you are experiencing at this time. I want to express my sympathy to each member of Grace Fulton's family. May God provide you with the comfort you need during this time.
