Condolences from friends and family of

Genessa Gay Owenby

Message by A friend
I remember meeting a spicy looking lady at Kevin Douthits' house one night. It happen to be Ms Genessa. She impressed me so with the way she was dressed and the love she had for her companion chihuahua. I liked her at first glance. She, and daughter Ms. Douthit, myself and Kevin enjoyed homemade Chicken/dumpling. Ms. Genessa has received her final reward. God is so merciful that he prepared a place for our spirit once it has left the body, made possible by the death and resurrection of CHRIST our LORD. May the LORD comfort you all now and the memories be joyful ones always. Darci Galen

Message by Your Granddaughter, your friend
There are so many things I could tell you about my Mitzi, but honestly there would not be room on this website.
From the time I was born, we had a special bond, and anyone who knew us would tell you the same. As a child, I went everywhere with her. And even as an adult and I moved away, she was there for me through the ups and downs, the good the bad, the happy the sad. When most everyone else gave up on me she was there. And guess what? With the help of her prayers and advice, I made it through. And our love for each other, our bond lasted all these years, and even though our Lord needed her home, our bond will last through eternity. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt she loved me more than her own life and I know she knew how much I loved her.
For those of you who knew her, you know what a blessing she was, for those who did not, you really missed out on a wonderful soul.
With her bright blue sapphire eyes, her firey, free spirit, her quick wit and her endless love for her family, she will truely be missed. She always gave us more than we deserved and never, ever asked for anything in return. I am blessed, and honored to have her as not only my grandma, but as my true friend. I love you Mammaw Mitzi, and I'll miss you, but I will see you again soon. Rest well my Angel, your journey here is over. And don't worry I'll keep our secrets!
