Lyle, Charlene and family,

I'm so very sorry to hear of the passing of your dear sister, wife, mother, and daughter, Pat. I only really knew Pat as Lyle's older sister, but each time I saw her, she was always smiling, willing to talk..

I guess she knew me as a classmate of Lyle and Charlene's and that is the kind of person she was. I really don't think she ever met a stranger. Doug went to school with her and remembers her as being a great person. I know you are so very torn apart right now, but we will pray that time will make things easier for you.

Subject: Mary Younce

I talked to Shirley today. We didn't quite cry but we amost did. I know
this is a hard time for you and it takes about a full cycle of a year to work
through all those 'firsts' that are reminders that oftentimes catch us off guard in
unexpected places and ways of those we miss so. I know you already know
that things never quite return to as good as they were before. We know the
world for a poorer place when those who enriched us so have been called away to
other work where we cannot follow them now. It appears to me that your Mom
raised you in the hope that falling asleep is not the end. In that hope we
can find our rest.

I'm glad Sheldon & Nell made it up to see you. You can tell we took you to
our hearts here sure enough. We certainly would have spared you grief if we
could. But failing that we want to know that you made a place for yourself in a
lot of hearts just by being yourself and you are not alone in grief.

I was shocked to see Pat's name in the obituaries.....I can't tell you , how sorry I am......she was so special to so many..of this I am sure. I have had my insurance with Lyle West for many years and Pat was above and beyond always. She spoke so fondly of her family. Although she is in a better place, what a empty spot she has left. I am sorry for the loss on so many levels. God Bless you and give you peace and comfort in this time.
