Subject: For Jerry Poindexter Family

Our deepest sympathy to the Poindexter family during this traumatic time.

I grew up with Jerry in the Cowee community and went all through school with him. I haven’t seen him in many years but will never forget how kind and smart he was. We were always competing with our grades (thanks to Mr. Seagle) but Jerry would let me win on purpose a lot of times, that being the kind of person he was. He was always a pleasure to be around. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the Poindexter family during this sad time.

I was a classmate of Jerry at Franklin High some 45 years ago. Although, I have not kept up with Jerry over the years, I recall pleasant memories of our high school years together. Again, wishing peace to all.
