I
close my eyes and I see your joy as we explored the parks, your
amazement at the Mennonite Market and you love of 'antiquing'
as we searched for hidden treasures.
I listen and I hear you laughter, your words of wisdom, encouragement,
advise and love.
I open my eyes and I see only tears.
I listen and I hear only silence and the sound of my own heart
breaking.
Now through the sorrow, the loss and the heartbreak the one thing
that you thought you never taught me which was patience, I now
have. For now I wait patiently for the time we can once again
laugh, talk, go exploring and play among the clouds.
