Our
thoughts and prayers with you all. We enjoyed hearing Siler talk
about all his adventures at Rainbow Springs and Rainbow Falls
. We love living here, and it became even more special after hearing
him talk about the campground and the Christmas tree farm and
all his adventures in the woods!
God
bless,
Margaret
and James Freeman

Chris,
I wanted to send you a card, but I don't have your current mailing
address. I am so sorry to hear that Siler passed away this week.
I have very fond memories of the time I spent at your house during
high school and college and I will never forget the laughter and
times we spent with Siler. Our senior year in high school, I remember
that almost every weekend the three of us would hang out at your
house and talk and laugh - I'm so glad I got to know him so well.
He was a very special person and I will cherish the memories I
have of that time spent with him.
I hope you and your family are doing well. I haven't been to Franklin
in a while, but my mother and Margaret told me you come very often.
For the last couple of years, I have usually made "day"
trips and drive up and back the same day. Maybe we can connect
sometime soon!
Love,
Mary (Setser) Miesiaszek

My Condolences on Siler's Death

To
the Family of Siler Slagle:
I have been friends with Al since 1984 and have known Siler for
almost that entire time. Years ago when Al and I would camp out
at Rainbow Springs Siler would come over and we would sit around
the fire and talk about "things". I want you to know
how sorry I am that the Slagle Family has lost such a tremendous
Husband,
Father, Grandfather and Uncle and I and lots of other folks have
lost a friend.

Siler Slagle - to Clydie Slagle

Dear
Clydie,
It
is with sad heart that I send you this message. I was so sorry
to hear about Silers passing. I have such wonderful memories
of Siler, Sam, and those years in the late 70s and early 80s when
I worked for The Franklin Press and attended Board of Commissioners
meetings. Siler was a strong man of wonderful character. He loved
his family as well as Macon County . He will be missed by all
those who loved him.
My
prayers are with you and your family.
God
bless you all!
Kim
