Hazel Christine Peek

Hazel Christine Peek, 73, of Little Ellijay Road, Franklin, NC passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Skyland Care Center in Sylva. She was a native of Macon County, the daughter of the late William Henry and Annivee Edith Ammons Peek.

Hazel worked for the telephone company as an operator. She was a faithful Christian and she loved her daughter very much, her church, crosses, gardening, sewing and reading.

Survivors include her daughter, Crystal Dawn Peek of Franklin; two sisters, Dollie Bumgarner (Harry) of Sylva and Edith Peek of Franklin and two brothers Ernest Peek and Wesley Peek (Vicki) all of Franklin.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Ray Fox officiating. Burial will follow in Ellijay Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 - 1:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank Skyland Care Center for the love and care given to Hazel during her stay.
