What a wonderful sweet man. I remember you all coming down to the farm so Daddy and Jim could ride horses and Diane and I could play with the girls. So sorry for your loss Sue and the girls. I will be praying for the family. Love you

Sue & Family, we were so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. We will always be grateful to you and Jim for making us feel so welcome when we first moved to Franklin. The two of you helped so much to make Franklin seem like home to us. He always seemed to have that sweet smile every time we saw him and we will miss seeing it. You and your family are surely in our thoughts and prayers. We love you.

Expressions of sincere sympathy are being extended for the death of your loved one. Death's pains are hard, very difficult and sad days are ahead... (Job 10:1). At the end of a tunnel there is always light. That light is from our creator. Isaiah 25:8, points to the removal of death forever. Revelation 21:3-4 reads, "No more death". Psalm 37: 9-11 gives us a different hope, notice righteous mankind including those who have died will live on a restored and peaceful earth. What a blessing that will be as you await this time, continue to lean on loving support of family and friends (Proverbs 18:24).

Dear Sue and family,
Am very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Will never forget him being the Scout Leader of a group of kids riding bicycles to Wayah Gap when I was a kid. Some fond memories generated over the years.
Sorry also that I could not make it to the funeral. May GOD bless you and all your family.

Sue and daughters, I just learned of Jims' passing. My first memory of Jim was in a uniform, I thought I remembered it being an Atlanta police officers uniform. He did have a twinkle in his eye, a genuine gentleman, and he had much love for family, farm and his country. Prayers and thoughts are with you all, God bless each of you. Love to all, Linda Corbin

Thank you, Donnie. We really appreciate all you did in the last years to help Dad as he became less able to work 36 hours a day. He set a high standard for all of us to strive for.

There just are not any words to describe the sadness I feel on Jim's passing. He was a true Southern Gentleman. He treated everyone with kindness and respect. Jim always worked hard to provide for his family. As a young man I worked many summers putting up hay on his farm and he instilled many of the values I have today. I know he will be missed by all who knew him. He was a special and great man. I will hold his family in my prayers and hope God eases their sorrow in the days to come.Be at peace Jim, you have earned the rest.

Thank you so much Rick. We all have some great memories of growing up under Dad's watchful eyes. It is very humbling to find how many others were as in awe of Dad as we were. Take care of yourself.

Our family will never be quite as complete without the Southern Gentleman -
Jim Waldroop.
His wit was as handy as his ability to set things right. Jim always knew how to open the door wide to friends and family alike, with a hearty “come on in.” His love and pride for his wife, three daughters, and both grandchildren was always obvious in his conversation.
Jim was a self-made man that knew the meaning of giving back to neighbors and his community that might find themselves in need. Jim had gentleness when it came to children. You could watch his expressions and see the love in his eyes.
Jim's work ethics and honesty were above reproach. He expected the same principles from others, but never more than he had already accomplished. There was never a sign of pretense; one always knew where Jim Waldroop stood on any issue. We respected Jim for just being Jim.
Thank you for letting us see many traits that a true "Family Man" should strive for. Your memory will be treasured always.

Dad was definitely a man to hold all other men up to. I am afraid our husbands have had to work very hard to come close to his example. He definitely trained his grandson well. We appreciate the love and friendship you folks gave him over the years. I hope you won't stop dropping by to see Mom. Thank you
