Laverne S Henry

LaVerne S. Henry, 87, of Franklin passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017. Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Lake and Ethel Roberts Stiles. She was married to Leon Sellers who passed away in 1951 and later to Don Henry who passed away in 1996.

Mrs. Henry was a CNA who loved birds and flower gardening, cooking, going on picnics and was an avid San Antonio Spurs fan. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a talented and loving mother, grandmother, great‑grandmother and great‑great‑grandmother whose children adored her.

She is survived by three, daughters, Karen Sellers Forrester of Front Royal, VA; Kathie Henry of Sevierville, TN and Brenda Henry of Franklin; one son, Ronnie Henry of Franklin and a step‑son, Jodie Henry (Alissa) of Rosman, NC; one sister, Hazel Wilson of Franklin; one brother, Billy Joe Stiles of Rabun Gap, GA; eight grandchildren, Heath Henry, Apraha Henry‑Fisher, Myranda Henry, Natalie Henry, Mykela Henry, Travis Kinsey, Meagan Henry and Peyton Henry; nine great‑grandchildren, Courtney, Kaylee, Reagan, Cameron, Kendale, Kaitlyn, Kaleb, Koleman, Kaden, and Kinsey Will and one great‑great‑grandchild, Luke.

In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Sellers Kinsey; two sisters, Lillian Chastain and Lane Sargent; two brothers, Bert Stiles and Bob Stiles and an infant granddaughter, April Kinsey.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm, Wednesday, February 15, 2017 in the chapel of Bryant‑Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Norris officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
