I am truly sorry for the loss and pain that Carol Ann and the Sanders family and friends are feeling because of losing Roger recently in death. Most of us have had to endure the sorrow of losing a loved one in death. What helped me the most was prayer and faith in God's promises like found here at 1 Corinthians 15: 26 and it tells us: "And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing." God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises, including the resurrection. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. (John 5:28, John 6:40, John 11:23-25) Also, Titus 1: 2 tells us this promise of a resurrection: "is based on a hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago." Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live......And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it."For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. It has given me hope, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. Again, the family is in my prayers and I offer my heartfelt condolences. Feel free to contact me if you wish at my email address; myranj@centurytel.net

My dad, SSGT Tye (Bo Tye), served in the 210th with Bootie and on deployment during OIA in 2003-04 . He no longer lives in Franklin so I try to keep him updated on local happenings. He was truly saddened to hear about Bootie's death and immediately said, "He was such a good man" and went on to tell me how Bootie was a founding member of the 210th and would often talk about the lineage of the Company in Franklin, before there even was an Armory and meeting at the old courthouse. Dad shared stories from Iraq of Bootie watching and keeping the detainees in the tennis courts. I could hear the smile in his voice as he reminisced on the good times had. I am saddened by the loss of such a good person in this world. Bootie was a true American hero. His love for his country and family was evident. My military family is something I will never forget in my lifetime; the day-to-day struggle of deployment and the joy of their return are emotions like I've never experienced and are something we all shared. I'm sorry for your loss and pray that the Lord provides peace and comfort during these days. Remember the joy we shared as our loved ones returned from war multiple times; now imagine the same joy we will experience one day as we meet again in Heaven. With love and support, always your friend and family, Tori Tye McKay
