Virginia (Sorrells) Frazier

Virginia Sorrells Frazier, 83, of Indian Trail, NC formerly of Franklin passed away Monday, June 22, 2015.  Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Lester and Annie Guffey Sorrells.  She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Siler Frazier, Sr.

She was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Charlotte; she owned a garden center and convenience store and loved working with herbs.  She was a Union County Master Gardner; founding member of Charlotte Herb Guild; a member of Mint Hill Herb Guild and past member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Mrs. Frazier is survived by two daughters, Brenda Dills of Indian Trail and Reba Hall (Ivan) of Georgia; three sons, Fred Frazier, Jr. of Marshville, NC, Allan Frazier (Angelina) of Hong Kong, China and Michael Frazier of Raleigh, NC; six sisters, Margaret Bennett (Bill); Doris Cheek and Kathryn Solesbee all of Franklin, Hazel Johnson of Georgia, Ethel Sheffield (Wayne) of Georgia and Lessie Miller of Georgia; one brother, Jack Sorrells (Cathy) of Westminster, SC; 10 grandchildren and 11 great‑grandchildren.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Herman, T. J., Ralph, Marshall and Floyd Sorrells; her son-in-law, Kay Dills and grandson, Darren Frazier.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Bryant‑Grant Funeral Home with Father Voitus officiating.  Burial will be in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 10 ‑ 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
