Clark Nathaniel Picklesimer, 85, of Highlands passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017. He was born in Macon County, the son of the late Lyman and Pearl Talley Picklesimer. He was married to Doris Crowe Picklesimer who preceded him in death on September 4, 2013.

He worked in construction as a rock mason and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved the Lord and was a member of Highlands United Methodist Church where he served as an usher. He was a member of Blue Ridge Masonic Lodge #435 and was a U. S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean War as a Gunner's mate.

Survivors include his daughter, Terri P. Crowe (Ronnie) of Highlands; his son, Greg Picklesimer (Jeanne) of Newington, CT; four grandchildren, Natalie Dendy, Michelle Pendergrass, Nathaniel and Joshua Picklesimer; one great‑grandchild, Taylor Pendergrass and three brothers, Archie Picklesimer, Radford Picklesimer and Brandon Picklesimer. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorylas Early and Angela Picklesimer.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Highlands United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Lucas, Rev. Paul Christy and Rev. Jennifer Forrester officiating. Burial will follow at Picklesimer Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 until 11:00 am prior to the service at the church.
