Freda Norton Graves, 87, of Otto, NC passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Traces of Tiger in Tiger, GA. She was born in Macon County, the daughter of the late Grady and Eula Ledford Henson. She was married first to Maurice Edward Norton who died October 9, 1983 and later to Robert Dean Graves who died January 11, 2008.
Mrs. Graves was a homemaker and she enjoyed crafts, quilting, reading, and writing poetry. She was a member of Asbury Methodist Church.
Survivors include a brother, Colbert Henson (Bonnie) of Franklin; a dear friend, Nancy Wilkes of Otto; nephew, Jim Norton of Franklin, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by three sisters, Esta Lee Bradley, Winifred Littleton and Adelaide Chastain and four brothers, Sherrill Henson, Elmas Henson, John Henson and Cleveland Henson.
A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, February 3, 2018 with Rev. Harvey Conner officiating. Burial will follow in Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steve Henson, Charles Henson, Randy Henson, Dennis Henson, Jamie Henson, Jim Norton and Jackson Norton.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:30 ‑ 3:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank Traces of Tiger and Dr. Charles Pennington for the love and care given to Freda during her stay.
