Gail Arlene (McDowell) Peterman

Gail Arlene Peterman, 69, of Otto, NC passed away, Monday, November 4, 2019.  She was born March 20, 1950 to the late John McDowell and Willie Kate Burrell McDowell.  Mrs. Peterman worked at Parkdale Textile Mill for 30 years.  She loved camping, festivals, traveling, the beach, crafts and her family.  She was a member of Mountain City Church of God.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Norman Peterman, who died in 2006 and a grandson Daemain Mancini.

Survivors include her daughter, Chelsea Mancini of Otto, NC; her son, Ralph Norman Peterman of Otto, NC; granddaughter, Jasmine Mancini; sisters, Deborah Vanhook (Tommy) of Mars Hill, NC, Lee  Ann Muse of Otto, NC, and Donna McCall (Dale) of Franklin, NC, and a brother, Michael McDowell (Melanie) of Angier, NC. 

A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 11:00 am at Newman Chapel Baptist Church, with Rev. Ray Conner and Rev. Harvey Conner officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Jasmine Mancini, Dale Dallmann, Justin Morgan, Chris Shields, Michael McDowell, Brandon Vanhook, Chris McDowell and Tom McDowell.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Bryant‑Grant Funeral Home.
