Glenda Shearl (Clouse) Potts

Glenda Clouse Potts, 82, of Franklin passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018. She was born in Gaston County, the daughter of the late Guy and Valeria Davis Clouse. She was married for 59 years to Thomas Harley Potts who preceded her in death on September 30, 2013.

Mrs. Potts was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great‑grandmother who loved her family dearly. She was past president of PTA and a Cub Scout troop leader. She loved music, singing and party planning. She was a member of Windy Gap Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school and Bible school teacher.

Survivors include her sons, Keith Potts (Cindy) of Michigan and Kevin Potts (Mary) of Arizona; grandchildren, Jason and Jamie Potts of Michigan, Angela Samko (Rob) of Michigan, and Richard Cook (Alexis) of Georgia; eight great‑grandchildren; sisters, Colleen Ledford (Troy) of Franklin and Donnette Carnes (Jim) of Sylva and brothers, Robert Eugene Clouse (Jean) of Bessemer City, Milburn Dale Clouse (Eva Nell) of Franklin, Delbert Haven Clouse (Patricia) of Franklin and Donnie Clouse (Angel) of Franklin.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Windy Gap Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Bishop and Rev. David Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 ‑ 8:00 pm at Bryant‑Grant Funeral Home and Crematory.
