Mrs. Janie “Patsy” Carolyn Penland Fisher, 85, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019.
Mrs. Fisher was born in Highlands, NC May 11, 1933 to the late Isaac Adin Penland and Martha Jane “Mattie” Keener Penland. She worked for many years in bookkeeping and in financial operations for a law firm in Georgia; she also worked for the State of Georgia Welfare Office.
Ms. Penland was a Godly lady who attended Baptist and Nazarene churches but most of all she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Survivors include her children, Wanda Gail Fisher Cooke and Husband John of Lake Worth, FL; Haskell Hamilton Fisher, Jr. and wife Carolyn of Gainesville, Ga; and Cathy Marie Fisher Jennings and husband, James of Jackson, SC; seven grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2019 in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with the Rev. Andy Cloer officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Goldmine Community. The family will receive friends from 100-2:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
