John "Jack" Earl Best, 89, of Franklin passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018. He was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to the late James E. Best and Mary All Best. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force serving during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW. He was a steel fabrication operations manager and owned and operated a drapery shop and retired from Lowe's. He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife Marilyn Ann Best; daughters, Sally L Hubsch (John) of Franklin, NC and Christine A. Todd (Joe) of Wesley Chapel, FL; son, Laurence John Best (Linda) of Lenoir City, TN; sister, Lois Katzenbach of Sarasota, FL; seven grandchildren and five great‑grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm, Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Memorial United Methodist Church.
