Marvita (Crawford) Wilson

Marvita Janie Crawford Wilson, 80, passed away Monday, August 6, 2018. Mrs. Wilson was born October 6, 1937 in Jackson County to the late Willie Crawford and Ada Jane Stewart Crawford. She was a loving homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved flowers, birds, gardening and being around people.  Marvita was a member of the Pine Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Dills (Bruce) of Franklin, NC; Michael Wilson of Cashiers, NC; five grandchildren, Ashley Lanning, Bobby Wilson, Chance Wilson, Miley Wilson, and Megan Griffis; three great-grandchildren, Carleigh Wilson, Addie Wilson, and Ada Jane Lanning; three siblings Helen Holmes, Ray Crawford, and Laverne Shephard.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pam Griffis; and a grandson, Anthony Alexander.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Pine Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Aaron Langston officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
