Rhonda Lousie (Tarvin) Murrah

Rhonda Tarvin Murrah, age 60, died after a courageous battle with cancer on August 8, 2017 in her newly finished home "Cloud Nine" in Highlands, N.C.  Rhonda was born in Atlanta, Ga. on Feb. 9, 1957 where she later attended Sprayberry High School and Georgia State University.  In her early years, Rhonda worked as a flight attendant for Delta Airlines and later became a member of Clipped Wings.  Rhonda was fully engaged with life, her mantra being to "Keep learning and help others."  In that spirit, she became private pilot, a real estate agent, a world traveler, a scuba diver, skier, golfer, gardener, cook, painter and a lifelong piano player.  In 1983 she became a wife to her husband of 33 years, Eric.  After the arrival of her dearly loved children Melanie and Charlie, she became a devoted mother and homemaker, home schooling for a number of years. She lent her time to the Sandy Springs community and to those in need. Her family and friends remember her as a person who loved abundantly, with an infectious warmth, a ready smile and a heart of true compassion.       

Rhonda is preceded in death by her father Charles Tarvin.  She leaves her husband Eric, her children Melanie and Charlie, mother Audrey, a sister Beth and a brother Chuck as well as a host of cousins, aunts and uncles and lifelong friends.   She will be greatly missed.       

A Celebration of Life for Rhonda will take place at Unity North Atlanta Church at 4255 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta, Ga. 30066 on August 26th at 1 pm.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to NAMI or Invisiblechildren.com
