Roy Thomas Kohli

Roy Thomas Kohli, Sr. 73, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018. Mr. Kohli was born February 5, 1945 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Ora Kohli and Luella Peters Englehart. He loved woodworking, traveling, family, church family, but most of all he loved the Lord with all his heart. Roy was the head deacon at the Sylva Seventh Day Adventist Church where he attended for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Kohli of the home; children, Roy Kohli, Jr. of Asheville, NC, Lori Smith (Roy) of Franklin, NC , David Dann(DeeDee) of Ashland, Oregon; Lisa Grubba (Jim) Montrose, Michigan, and Richard Dann(Sara) of Fenton, Michigan; step-father, Paul Englehart of Fenton, Michigan; sisters, Virginia Fey and Kathy Willis both of Toledo, Ohio, and Ann Dausey(David) of Marquette Michigan; several nieces and a nephew; And the loves of his life, his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Roy was preceded in death by a daughter, Sally Herkel; grandson, Joshua Kohli, brother, Jimmy Kohli; and a sister, Judy Gentry.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, August 26, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Flushing County Park, 4417 N. McKinley Road, Flushing, MI, Pavilion 3.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Sylva Seventh Day Adventist Church Building Fund P.O. Box 693 Cullowhee, NC 28723. This was a very special project to Mr. Roy Kohli because of his love for the Lord and his church.

Another service will be held at a later date in Michigan. The time of the service will be announced when finalized.
