William “Bill” Eugene Nail, 78, took his heavenly flight to be with his Lord and died peacefully at home with his family by his side on July 31, 2019. Mr. Nail was born February 25, 1941 in Gadsden, Alabama to the late Charles Henry Nail, Sr. and Willie Lee Bradley. Mr. Nail served in the U.S. Army and was stationed at the DMZ during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Nail was a building contractor by trade and one of his accomplishments was the building of the Gazebo downtown in Franklin. He built many homes in Macon County. He was a member of the West Franklin House of Prayer.
Mr. Nail is preceded in death by his parents; seven siblings; one son, Timothy Faustini; and an infant daughter, Dawn Nail. Survivors include his wife Loretta Nail of 25 years; a daughter, Tina Marie Pickett (Jeff) of New London, NC; a son, Bill Faustini (Joyce) of Burlington, NC; a stepson Stephen Vincenzo de Groot of Norcross, Ga. Grandchildren, Shantel Perrera (Brian); Adam Tinger, IV (Mary); Justin A. Nail and Falcon Faustini; seven great- grandchildren; sisters, Celia Little, Wanda Stanker, Ty Juan Hartman, and Jean Karmer.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 6:00 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2019 at the Bryant-Grant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny Prince officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
