Carol (Dills) Cowart

Ms. Carol Dills Cowart, 62, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024. Carol was born April 18, 1962, in Macon, Co. to Mr. Raymond Dills and the late Virginia Downs Dills.

She worked for Macon Valley, Highlands Cashiers Hospital and at Tektone during her working years. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. She loved being outdoors fishing and weed eating. She loved her family and all her animals.

Survivors include her children, Dakota Gillespie, Simon Wilson, and Alvin Wilson; her father, Raymond Dills; two brothers, Keith (Peggy) Dills and Bruce Dills; and two grandchildren, Jason Gillespie and Winter Gillespie.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, May 20, 2024, in the chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Reeves and Rev. Guy Duvall officiating. Burial will follow in the Dills Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30-2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Hensley, Kevin Brown, Gio Hernandez, Taylor Shirley, Tyler Shirley, and Cody Perky.
