Franklin, NC - Judith Charlene Awtrey, 58, of Franklin passed away Monday, April 6, 2015. Born in Columbus, OH, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Edna McCumber Marks. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved to read and write poetry.

Mrs. Awtrey is survived by her husband of 32 years, John A. Awtrey; two daughters, Emily Reilly and husband Jason of Franklin and Stacie Lewis of Gainesville, GA; one son, David Roberts of Franklin; two sisters, JoAnn Harrison and Josephine Arledge both of Columbus, OH, and nine grandchildren, Jayson, Alexia, Keera, Samantha, Hunter, J. J., Abigail, Blake and Bethany.

A memorial service will be held Monday, April 13, 2015 at 5:30 pm in the chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Benny Bagwell officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 4:30 5:30pm, one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Four Seasons Hospice, 571 South Allen Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
