Larry Wayne Conley

Franklin, NC - Larry Wayne Conley, age 64, of Franklin, NC passed away Saturday, September 8, 2012 at his residence. He was a native of Macon County, the son of Alice Dills Carter of Stuart, FL. and the late J P Conley. He was a telephone contractor and was a member of the coon hunters club where he served as a Board of Director. He loved his dogs and horses and loved going on the Wagon Train.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Shelly Conner and her husband, Greg of Franklin, NC; his son, Bryan Daves and his wife Valinda of Franklin, NC; the mother of his children, Doris Stamey Conley; one sister, Carmie Pruett of Franklin, NC; two brothers, Eddie Moses of Franklin, NC and Sid Carter of Stuart, FL; six grandchildren, Kortney and Karey Conner, Candice, Dustin, Chelsie and Dillon Daves; one geat-granddaughter, Kendel Gibson. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betsy Conley Angel.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 11 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Rodriquez and Rev. David Williams officiating. Burial will be held at Carson Cemetery. Dillon Daves, Keith Stamey, Willard Passmore, Tom Pruett, Greg Conner, Russell Robinson and Dustin Daves will serve as pallbearers. Bill Harkins, Ralph Sanders, Larry Ledford, Bernard Huggins, Alvin Johnson, Jack Hodgins, Allen Berry and Mitch Bowman will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Monday, September 10 from 6:00-8:00PM at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
