Robert Edward Tilley

Franklin, NC - Robert Edward Tilley, age 84, of Valleyview Road, Franklin, NC passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at his residence. He was born in Atlantic City, NJ, the son of the late William and Lillian Brown Tilley. He was a WWII US Navy Veteran and was a carpenter.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan Clark; three sons, Robert E. Tilley, Jr of Albany, GA, William J. Tilley and Richard J. Tilley both of Franklin, NC; one brother, John C. Tilley of Tarboro, FL. Three grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 28th at 11:00am in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home, with the VFW Chaplain officiating.
