Alaiya Grace Cowart

Infant Alaiya "Laya Bug" Grace Cowart was welcomed into the Arms of Jesus, Wednesday, February 5, 2025.

Alaiya was born January 6, 2025, to Athen Cowart and Raven Payne of Franklin, NC.

Alaiya was very active in her mother's womb before she was born. She was a beautiful little baby girl that was so curious and brought so much love and joy to her parents, grandparents, and family. She loved to hear her daddy's voice, and her little precious eyes would follow him around. She had a spunky personality and was always happy and smiling.

Most of all she was loved by her family, friends of her family, but most of she was loved by the Lord.

Survivors include her parents, Athen Cowart and Raven Payne; paternal grandparents, Melissa Larson and Chris Deats; maternal grandparents, Sam and Gail Payne; great-grandparents, Larry and Bonnie Edwards; uncles, Cameron Ledford, Mark Caldwell, Seth Ledford, Cayden Astling, Creedance Julian, Syler Deats, Jaden Larson, Aden Deats (Destiny Hardy), and John Larson; an Aunt Kim Greene; and her cousins, Autumn and Callie Greene.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Stephens officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
