Alean (Cabe) Buchanan

Alean Cabe Buchanan, 79, of Franklin, NC, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018.  She was born in Macon County, the daughter of the late Emory and Blanche Rogers Cabe.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Neville Buchanan.  Alean was former co-owner and operator of Cato's, she loved working puzzles, watching TV and working in her flowers and yard.  She was a former Choir member and Sunday School teacher at Dryman's Chapel United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Gary Buchanan of Franklin, NC, her twin sister, Jerlean Cabe Buchanan, her sister, Marie Olive of Franklin, NC and her brother, Hilton Cabe of Franklin, NC.

A funeral service will be held Friday, November 16, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home, with Rev. Vic Greene, Rev. Janet Greene and Rev. Kelly Dotson officiating.  The family will receive friends from  10:00 to 11:00 am prior to the service at the funeral home.  A private burial will be held.
