Alice Edna (Buchanan) Fox

Alice Edna Fox, 88, of Cullowhee passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015.  Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Will and Sallie Gregory Buchanan.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Fox, who died in 2005.

Mrs. Fox was a member of the Order of Eastern Star; loved her flowers and she loved to garden, cook and play horseshoes.  She was a longstanding member of Yellow Mtn. Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna Fox of Cullowhee and Deborah "Debbie" Robert (Michael "Mike") of Kissimmee, FL; four sons, Dale Woodard of Mansfield, TX, Wayne Fox of Franklin, Tom Fox of Cullowhee and Jeff Fox of Franklin; 17 grandchildren and 13 great‑grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Walter Fox.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 11, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Yellow Mtn. Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Stepp, Rev. Keith Ashe and Rev. Johnny Norris officiating.  Burial will follow in Evitt Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Fox, Chris Fox, Kevin Fox, Joel Bradley, Tim Coggins, Dean Watson and Roger Watson.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 ‑ 3:00 pm, prior to the service, at the church.
