Allan L. Chastain, 57, went home to be with the Lord Friday, November 18, 2016. Allan was born August 13, 1959 in Macon County to the late Carl Lewis Chastain and Ann Talley Chastain who survives. He worked for Cashiers Plastic and later went to work for Macon County. He loved collecting comic books and old movies. Allan helped his mother with the Emergency Council in Highlands and he was a member of the Pine Creek Baptist Church where he was a deacon and Sunday school teacher. Allan most of all love to help people and be a witness for Jesus Christ.
Survivors include his mother, Ann Talley Chastain of Highlands and a brother, Danny Chastain of Highlands.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 21, 2016 at Shortoff Baptist Church with Pastor Andy Cloer officiating. Burial will follow in the Highlands Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be Lonnie Barnes, Doug Barnes, Mr. River, Stacy Houston, James Chastain, Robert Crips, and Donald Talley.
