Clayton GA - Alvin Jesse Turpin, 70, of Warwoman Road died Tuesday March 3, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville, Georgia. Surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Clayton, Georgia., September 29, 1944 he was the son, of the late Martin Jesse Turpin and Nellie York Turpin. Alvin was U.S. Army Veteran serving in Viet Nam he also retired from the Textile Industry and was also an avid hunter, fisherman and loved camping with his bestest buddies. Alvin was very loved and will be deeply missed by every one that new him. His favorite slogan "Life is Good" He will be deeply missed by his wife and best friend of thirty two years.

He was preceded in death besides his parents, by one brother, James Turpin and is survived by his wife, Linda Cheek Turpin of the home., two brothers, Russell Turpin (Oma Jean) of Clayton, GA., Mike Edward Turpin (Tammy) of Clayton, GA., one sister, Lora T. Jarrard (Joe) of Clayton, GA. Several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.

Funeral Services Will be Friday March 6, 2015 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Krivsky and Rev. Steve York Officiating graveside services. Burial will follow at Antioch Methodist Church Cemetery.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends Friday March 6, 2015 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. (the funeral hour). The family is at the home of his wife, Linda Cheek Turpin Warwoman Road, Clayton, Georgia.

The Pall Bears are his bestest buddies and in-laws will David Cheek, Johnny Cheek, Bobby Watson, Rick Crane, Danny Bleckley, Ikey Rogers. Honary Pall Bears will be Charlie Ledbetter, Wade Waldrop, Bobby Parrish, Zach Crane, Xander Crane, Bryson, Burt, Dylan Burt and Matthew Scott.

Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
