Andrea Lee Vasilinda Hill

Andrea Lee Hill (Vasilinda), 69 left this earth peacefully on December 27, 2025 with her loving husband Rusty at her side, and Stinker, her beloved cat of 18 years, on her lap. Her passing follows a brief illness and shortly after entering Hospice care.

Andrea was born on August 22, 1956 in Kokomo, Indiana and grew up in Des Plaines. Illinois and Port Orange, Florida. She lived in Daytona Beach, Polk County, Florida, Sky Valley, GA, and Franklin NC. She is a graduate of Mainland High School in Daytona Beach.

Andrea was chosen as Miss Daytona Beach in 1975. She was also an award winning hairdresser, a skilled communicator, and a devoted wife, sister, aunt and good friend to many. She never met a stranger, and lived a life fueled by kindness and concern for others. She also never met a crossword puzzle she couldn’t solve.

Andrea also had a life long passion and love for animals, ranging from the baby cows she loved as a child on her Aunt’s farm, to April the bunny, Rocky the raccoon, Sophie the pig (aka Trouble), Lucky the dog, who found her) and the deer that visited her yard and every animal in between.

Andrea was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Florence of Port Orange, Florida, and nephew Jeff Vasilinda of Cincinnati, Ohio, and her dear friend Edna Manthey.

In addition to Rusty, her husband and love of 30 years, Andrea is survived by her brothers Jefferey Scott of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and Michael David of Tallahassee, Florida, nephews Benjamin and Keith, grand niece Finley, and grand nephews Chase, and Michael Ryan, and of course, her beloved Stinker. Dot Leucht of New Smyrna Beach was also a close friend for many years.
