Andrew Nelson Carver

Franklin, NC - Andrew Nelson Carver, age 81, of Pressley Circle, Franklin, NC, passed away Friday, February 22, 2008 in a local nursing home. He was a native of Jackson County, the son of the late Wayne and Sarah Castle Carver. He was a farmer and of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Annie Mae Passmore Carver; two daughters, Elaine Carver and Kathy Norris and her husband, Ricky, Sr., all of Franklin, NC; one son, Freddie Carver and his wife Mary Sue, of Otto, NC; sister, Bonnell Wilson of Sylva, NC; brothers, Sherman Carver of Mt. Holly, NC, Bill Carver, Kenneth Carver, James Carver, and Hayes Carver all of Franklin, NC; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by a son, Furman Nelson Carver, one brother, Frank Carver, and one sister, Clara Childers.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 25th at 11:00am in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home, with Rev. Alton Dendy officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00am, one hour prior to the service Monday at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
