Rev. Andrew "Andy" Cloer

Rev. Andy Cloer, 84, of Franklin, NC, went home to be with the Lord, Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025.  He was born July 9, 1940, in Macon County, NC to the late Glenn Doyle Cloer and Ruby Sawyer Cloer. Rev. Cloer was a proud Veteran of the US Air Force.  He served many churches in Macon County, Shortoff Baptist Church, Liberty Baptist Church, Aquone Baptist Church, West Franklin Baptist Church and Buck Creek Baptist Church.  He was a true Pastor and man of God.  He was always willing to pray and help those in need and lead people to Christ. He loved spirit filled gospel music.

He was a heavy equipment operator, and he did carpentry work.  He liked to garden and fix things.

Rev. Cloer loved his family, he idolized his daughter and especially loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his dog "Blue".

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Evelyn Littleton Cloer; daughter, Regina Cloer Henson (Heath); grandchildren, Gabriel Frye (Charles), Eden Cochran, Caleb Cochran (Krystin Sherill); great-grandchildren, Ava Bell Cochran, Oliver Frye and Lucy Frye; brothers,  Johnny Cloer and Bobby Cloer (Anita); sisters, Dixie Barker (Jim), Laura Green, Reba Rogers (John), Brenda Holland (Gary), Glenda Cochran (Buddy), and Evelyn Boatwright (Jeff); special niece, Emlyn Green (Molly O Day).

A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Dryman, Rev. Bobby Cloer, Rev. Phillip Cochran and Rev. Roy Lowe officiating.    Burial will be in Patton Methodist Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Caleb Cochran, Damon Cloer, Tim Cochran, Chris Green, Bear Carpenter, Deuane Cloer, Eric Boatwright, and Michael Steven Carpenter.  Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Cloer, Heath Henson, Charles Frye, Oliver Frye and Taylor Davis.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home. The family will be at the home of his daughter in Franklin.
