Annie Bell (West) Cookston

Mrs. Annie West Cookston, 88, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018.

Mrs. Cookston was born May 17, 1930 in Macon County to the late Edgar L. West and Mattie Rhinehart West. She was married to the late Chandler Robert Cookston who preceded her.

Mrs. Annie loved traveling, family history, and also a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Franklin Branch.

Mrs. Cookston leaves behind a great legacy of children and grandchildren; five daughters, Brenda Godlewski (Brent) of Wilton, New Hampshire, Wanda Durden (Alan), Donna Scruggs (Tim), Felicia Mashburn (Bobby) all of Franklin, and Jeana Roten (Kevin) of Anderson, S.C. and one son, Kevin Cookston (Susan) of Sugar Hill, GA; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Henderson.

A private graveside service will be held with Branch President Eric Burch and Elder Kenneth Anderson officiating.
