Annivee Edith Peek

Franklin, NC - Annivee Edith Peek, age 83, of Little Ellijay Road, Franklin, NC passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at a local nursing home. She was a lifelong resident of Macon County, the daughter of the late Richard Ammons and Ruth Henry Ammons. She was married to William H. Peek who passed away in 2001. She was a homemaker and a member of Ellijay Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and was a choir member. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great -grandmother and loved to knit, crochet and sew.

She is survived by three daughters, Hazel Peek of Frankin, NC, Dollie Bumgarner and her husband, Harry of Sylva, NC and Edith Peek of Franklin, NC; two sons, Ernest Peek and Wesley Peek and his wife, Vicki of Franklin, NC; three sisters, Florence Bishop of Cullowhee, NC, Kate Bishop and Alice Aikens, both of Virginia; two brothers, Ernest Ammons of Cullowhee, NC and R. V. Ammons of Virginia; five grandchildren, Mark & Michael Peek, Crystal Peek, Matthew Cagle and Julie Naegler. Ten great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 28 at 3:00 PM at Ellijay Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Potts and Rev. Billy Sellers officiating. Burial will be held at the Church Cemetery. Matthew Cagle, Mark Peek, Michael Peek, Jeremy Cabe, Craig Naegler and Randy Rogers will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00-3:00PM at the Church.
