Anthony Alan Sloope

Franklin, NC - Anthony Alan Sloope, age 54, of Franklin, NC passed away Friday, December 27, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Dade County, FL the son of the late Charles and Naomi Marx Sloope. He was a contractor and was a member of Burningtown Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, and brother. He liked gardening, shooting guns with his son and working with his hands.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Joy Johnson Sloope; four daughters, Charlene Sloope, Cameron Sloope and Christian Sloope of the home and Ashley Sloope of Florida; four sons, Caleb Sloope and Colton Sloope of the home, Alan Sloope of Florida and Adam Sloope of Indiana; one sister, Dawn Sloope of Franklin, and one brother, Larry Sloope of Jacksonville, FL. One grandchild also survives.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Burningtown Baptist Church, with Rev. Randy Drinnon and Rev. Charles Stevens officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 5:00 pm, before the service at the Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Southwestern Tech Early College, 44 Siler Farm Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
