Artista Burd

Franklin, NC - Artista Burd, age 93, of Franklin, NC passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012. Born in Franklin County, OH, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Bessy Featherof Poling. She was married to Edwin Burd who died in 1996. She loved flower arranging; was very active in Senior Citizen's Program and was a member of Truth Tabernacle Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Mrs. Burd is survived by a son, Paul David Burd and wife Donna of Franklin, NC; two granddaughters, April Rios and Allison Burd and a great granddaughter, Sophia Rios.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 5, 2012 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Watts officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice Services MedWest Harris, 132 Sylva Plaza, Sylva, NC 28779.
