Barbara Hope Wallace

Franklin, NC - Barbara Hope Wallace, age 84, of Franklin, NC passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012. Born in Union Co., South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late John Quincey and Alberta Ella Hayes Wallace. She was a teacher in the public school system and was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the choir, Bible Study; the Presbyterian Womens’s Organization and where she was an Elder. Mrs. Wallace was a member of the retired Teacher’s Association.

Barbara is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews and eleven great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Robert Wallace and four sisters, Esther Gustaw, Myrtle Nims, Margaret Isbill and Mary Jo Ghent.

Memorial services will be held Friday, May 18, 2012 at 4:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church, Franklin, with Rev. Sam Pope officiating. A reception will follow the service, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
