Bessie Lee Pressley

Franklin, NC - Bessie Lee Pressley, age 90, of Carl Henson Rd., Franklin, NC passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 in a Brevard nursing home. Born in Jackson County, NC she was the daughter of the late Hyatt and Bertie Childers Moody. She was married, for sixty six years, to James C. Pressley who died June 19, 2005. She was a homemaker and member of Cashiers Baptist Church. She attended Longview Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Sharon Pressley, three sisters, Jacklyn Rathborne of Florida, Peggy Hopper of Glenville, NC and Karene Passmore of Hendersonville, NC. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Sally Rose and Terry James (T.J.) Pressley; two great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy Pressley and Terry Pressley and three sisters, Betty Jo Norman, Jean Stewart and Patsy Pressley.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Hamburg Baptist Church with graveside services following at Hamburg Baptist Church Cemetery. Bryant-Grant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
