Betty Lou (Fouts) Crawford

Betty Lou Fouts Crawford, 82, of Franklin, NC passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015.  Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Nondus and Vira Farley Fouts. She was married to George Edward Crawford who preceded her in death on August 9, 2007.

She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved the Lord and she loved her flowers.  She was a member of Ridge Crest Baptist Church where she was church clerk for 40 years.

Mrs. Crawford is survived by one son, Max Crawford and daughter‑in‑law Reana of Franklin, four brothers, Boyd, Dave and John Fouts all of Franklin and Gene Fouts of Sylva, and two grandchildren, Stacy Palmer and Nathan Crawford. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ken, Max and Sherrill Fouts.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Ridge Crest Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Fouts and Rev. Guy Duvall officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Crest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 ‑ 2:00 pm, one hour prior to her service, at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Lewis Rathbun Wellness Center, 121 Sherwood Rd., Asheville, NC 28803.
