Betty (Bryson) Gregory

Betty Bryson Gregory, 97, of Franklin, NC, passed away April 22, 2025.  She was born September 17, 1927, in Macon County, to the late Thomas Newton Bryson and Leona Evans Bryson Sadler.

Mrs. Gregory was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Franklin and was in the hand bell choir.  Betty had a dry sense of humor, loved music, reading, writing poetry, traveling, as well as going to plays and performances. She was also an Atlanta Braves fan.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gregory was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Winfred Gregory, and a son, Michael Gregory.

She is survived by three daughters, Judy Gregory, Sheila Gregory, and Winnie Coggins (Lloyd); six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home, with Rev. Betsy Stow officiating.  Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Saturday evening at the funeral home.
