Beverly Ann (Bryson) Sykes

Beverly Ann Bryson Sykes, 75, of Franklin, NC passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016. She was born in Macon County, the daughter of the late Wiley and Helen Rowland Bryson. She was married to G. P. Sykes, Jr. who preceded her in death on October 14, 2010.  She had worked for the Department of Social Services and was a member of Franklin First Baptist Church.

Beverly was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great‑grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheri Dockery (Jeff) of Franklin; step daughters, Gina Elowe (Wayne) and Beth Taylor (Jimi) all of Atlanta, GA; her brother, Bruce Bryson (Sue) of Franklin; five grandchildren; five step‑grandchildren and eleven great‑grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 in the chapel of Bryant‑Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Reeves and Rev. Guy Duvall officiating.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Josh Dockery, Jeremy Dockery, Kenny Bays, Jeff Southard, Jimi Taylor and Mike Ferguson will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:30 ‑ 3:00 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 120 Executive Park, Bldg. One, Asheville, NC  28801.
