Birdia "Birdie" Anderson

Mrs. Birdia "Birdie" Lee McPherson Anderson, 97, went to heaven September 7, 2025.

Birdie as she wanted to be called was the daughter of John E and Birdie Garland McPherson.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by the love of her life & best friend, Clyde H Anderson, September 24, 1981. Brothers, George N McPherson, William E McPherson & Robert W McPherson Clodfelter. Also Ruben B Anderson, who was more like a son than a nephew. Birdie is survived by several nieces & nephews.

Birdie worked for several years as custodian for First Union/Wachovia Bank, where she was a co-worker and friend to all the employees over the years. Birdie’s love for the outdoors was evident in the care of her lawn and flowers. In June 2024 she was awarded “Lawn of the Month” by the Carson community. She also loved to travel with her dear friend Becky Byrd.

The past seven months Birdie was lovingly cared for by The Franklin House and Four Seasons Hospice.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Rush Cemetery, with Chaplain Donny Edwards officiating.
