Blanche Rosalee (Mccoy) Owens

Blanche Rosalee McCoy Owens, 94, of Franklin passed away Friday, June 9, 2017. She was born in Jackson County to the late David Montgomery and Mabel Gregory McCoy. She was married for 67 years to Euell Cordell "Buck" Owens who preceded her in death on January 20, 2009.

Mrs. Owens was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a farmer and a lifelong member of Pine Grove Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher.

Survivors include two daughters, Elaine Enloe (David) and Sandy Tippett all of Franklin; a son, Rev. Ronald Owens (Kathy) of Franklin; six grandchildren and 10 great‑grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two daughters, Patricia "Tootsie" Akin and Beverly Owens; a sister, Leola Holland and two brothers, Melvin Eugene McCoy and John Howard McCoy.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, June 12, 2017 at Sugarfork Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Greg Rogers officiating. Jeff Enloe, Mark Enloe, Zeb Enloe, Tim Houston, Josh Owens and Vince Boyce will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00 ‑ 12:30 pm, prior to the service, at Bryant‑Grant Funeral Home and Crematory.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church, 7454 Highlands Road, Franklin, NC  28734.
