Bobby Franklin Simpkins

Mr. Bobby Franklin Simpkins, 70, passed away Monday, April 15, 2019.

Mr. Simpkins was born December 6, 1948 in Mingo, West Virginia. He was an electrician, worked in a flooring plant, and was a West Virginia State Trooper in his early years.

Bobby loved to fish and hunt; he also served his country in the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War. He was also of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Penny Carpenter Simpkins of Franklin; and a Step-daughter, Sandra Kendall and her husband Tony of Franklin.

A private service will be held at a later date.
