Bruce Taylor, Jr

Franklin, NC - Bruce Taylor, Jr., 74, of Franklin, NC passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Born in Hillsborough County, FL, he was the son of the late Walter Bruce and Jessie Wright Taylor. He was a veteran of the US Army, and real estate broker; he owned and operated Bruce Taylor, Inc.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved photography; was an avid reader and loved being with his grandchildren. He attended University of Florida and was an avid Gator fan; was founding president of Clearwater Breakfast Sertoma Club for 49 years; achieved Boy Scouts Order of Arrow and was a scout leader for many years; was a NASCAR fan, and attended First United Methodist Church in Clearwater, FL.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Lynda Starr Taylor; two daughters, Denise Hagen and GiGi Charles both of Clearwater, FL; and two sons, Mark Taylor and wife Rhonda of North Augusta, SC and David Taylor and wife Stacey of Clearwater, FL, and seven grandchildren, Erik, Ryan, Noah, Grant, Danny, Jake and Dawson.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Don Moffitt and Walter Moody officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30 till 3:30 pm, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Macon County Humane Society, PO Box 81, Franklin, NC 28744.
