Calvin Carpenter

Calvin Carpenter, of Otto, NC, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015. He was the son of the late W.J. and Carmellie Gladwell Carpenter. He was a member of Coweeta Baptist Church. Calvin enjoyed farming, raising cattle and playing checkers, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather. Calvin is survived by one daughter Jan Campbell and husband Ronald of Otto, NC; two sons Jerry Carpenter and fiancé Geraldine Ledford, and James Carpenter and wife Margaret all of Otto, NC; six grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Monday, August 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Bryant- Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Davis Hooper officiating. Burial will be in the Coweeta Baptist Church Cemetery with Cris Carpenter, Andy Emory, Isaac Campbell, Asa Emory, Levourn Wiggins and Elbert McConnell serving as pall bearers. The family will receive friends 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service at Bryant- Grant Funeral Home.
