Carl Fred Friebus

Otto, NC - Carl Fred Friebus, 88, of Otto, NC passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013. Born in Maywood, IL, he was the son of the late Solomon and Maria Margaret Friebus. He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during WWII and the Normandy landings. He was an electrician for Daniels Construction and was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses for 50 years.

Mr. Friebus is survived by his wife of 68 years, Charlene Ruth Bryant Friebus; one daughter, Linda Wall and husband Anthony ; four sons, Dan Friebus and wife Lora, Stephen Friebus and wife Shawnee, Timothy Friebus and wife Ann and Michael Friebus and wife Debbie; one brother, Richard Friebus; nine grandchildren, Kimberly, Tasha, Tanya, Jason, Shannon, Tiffany, Laura Lee, Sonya and Shaun. Five great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Paul.

A memorial service will be held Friday, October 11 at 7:30PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Jerome Schott officiating.
