Carole Ann (Stannard) Aikman

Carole Aikman, 64, of Franklin, NC, passed away March 30, 2025. She was born in Point Pleasant, NJ to the late Porter Wayland Stannard and Joan Arden Munce Stannard.

Carole was very outgoing, she was a people person and loved to entertain guests and tell stories.  She loved flowers and gardening and loved the mountains.

Carole is survived by her son Andrew Aikman (Sara); brother, Brian Stannard (Kerri); sister, Leslie Sheldon; nephews, Hunter Sheldon, Chandler Sheldon and Zeke Stannard; nieces Princess Chimento and Emily Stannard; friend, Anthony Del Aquila and many other friends and close family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Craig Stannard and Douglas Stannard.
